Tinkerbell Legacy - Living with a flying parrot

If only YS was more of a bastard to me

Again with YS signals, I knew it was time to make a move on.

I must say he was always patient with me. There I was drinking coffee and having my breakfast and he would wait quietly on the fan and watched me. He would let me have a ciggie after breakfast still watching TV. Then when he saw me drained that cup of coffee, he would start on his 'I am bored' antics by flying to the back of me, and then flying right in middle of my field of vision to 'chang' himself on the cabinet right in front of me and then dropping to the fan. If no reaction from me, he would do that again.

He trained me quite well too.

So it was at 925am, the milli was at 23.1 gm. YS watched and flew over immediately on signal onto the scale to tip it at 33.3 gm. So I got his weight down. No YSM left for his breakfast as I wanted to get it down fast.

After that, it was play/exercise time. It was perfect. I could almost hear his head click to me when I called his name, and he took off exactly at 'come'.
If I took too long to call, he would fly over to my shoulder on his own.

The first of all further recalls be it intermediate or long, he would fly along side of me, hovered when I stop, and waited for my hand and recall to land to get his rewards. I normally throw him back to starting point and subsequent recalls would be from the fan. Until he got lazy and flew to nearby chair to take off to me from.

The first session ended with milli at 22.2 gm

Then it was break time with me getting another coffee and YS on fan just preening himself. After which he would explore and explore again.

When I was in the PC room long enough, and ignored his calls to me from other rooms, he would fly over to join me. I obliged him by doing recalls but more of an excuse to feed him millis. If I ignored him too long in PC room, he would fly between me and the monitor to show that he was still around. If ignored even then, he would do his own thing like flying to my bedroom to look at how pretty he was in the mirror and get on my cupboard to sing.

At 1230pm, it was time for him to be back in flight room. YS was at 34.1 and milli at 21.1 gm

If I stayed around, inevitably, I would have played and feed YS more and more.
So the best bet was for me to leave the apartment. There were some things I needed to do outside. I did not get back until 6 pm. But as one thing that I did was to buy more crickets for YS, I did not feel very quilty. I was already preparing for the time his weight be down enough that I can then give him nice succulent crickets. The cricket nymphs in the smb3 never seemed to be developing to as many crickets as should be. Perhaps the suris and millis chomp on them too. But heck, crickets are cheap, and I happily buy them to gut and tissue load them for YS.

So at 615pm, YS was at 33.2 gm and milli at 21.0 gm.

I knew YS weight was satisfactory and should have seat on my hands or just step out of the flight room. But he looked at me with such a special look that I weakened. I gave him 3 medium crickets already tissue and gut loaded from the time they were nymphs in smb3. That was .8 gram of crickets.

If only YS was more of a bastard to me, I would have resisted that temptation to feed him so much and would have just walked out of the flight room.
